Most hilarious part for me.......

... was at the end when scientist man, after showing how intelligent he is for the entire movie, is then given one job to do to kill the baddies, pull the plugs then throw the lever, there's even a little animation that he watches showing what to do, but what does scientist man do? He pulls the plugs and then screams "It's not working!!" and then the woman has to remind him that it was a 2 part process and he still has to throw the lever. What an idiot. I guess they threw it in there for tension but it just made him look like an imbecile.

This just after he made a couple of dozen identical looking highly polished space ray guns out of old cellphones and video equipment.

Hilariously bad ending.

...was post movie, reading these ridiculous posts.

For a low profile movie as this all performances were top notch, much better than a lot of the really big budget productions.

Originally it was a 70 million budget movie, then scrapped, then resurrected by Netflix for the final touches.

In total agreement with you. The most hilarious part WAS this stupid movie.

Actually, I almost turned it off at the super-predictable start, when a DARPA Scientist (main guy) is knowingly building weapons and then has a cliche moral conscious about testing it against the living. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That entire dialogue sequence between him and The Man in the High Castle had me laughing out loud, ready to turn off the movie. And I should have.

Hope you do realize it is just a movie after all, science fiction which like all fiction should be taken with a big enough grain of salt. Nevertheless it is still totally plausible if and when a scientist tries to stand by and lives by a(ny) moral code, weapons engineer or other.

Yes, my friend, I understand it's a movie.

My point is, when you take the mentality of, "It's just a <this>" to explain (or in this case allow) such cliche nonsense to occur, in movie after movie after movie, you just continue to contribute the problem of this being acceptable.

Think of all those garbage movies that became garbage due to cliche characters actually took some semblance of originality and creativity and made the characters ... DIFFERENT!? You might have better films. You might not. But at least the chance would be upped.

To be fair, he had to struggle on three sets of four connections... and had sexy chick zap two of the spectrals over his head.

I'd have likely forgotten the second step to the mechanism after that!

What I don't get is why he was pulling the lever on the plugs, some times one handed, instead of using his legs/body weight like the first couple of times. "I went to the gym, and damn it, I'm going to make it count".
