I couldn't believe how many layers there were.
Just half of the stuff that happened is more than any other interesting documentary of this type I have seen.
I wonder if she ever knew she was abducted.

I had chills when it was retold how he sidled up to her Mom in the Church and said 'God sent me'

I would imagine the stepfather told her some BS story when he abducted her and she fell for it. Many times these poor kids are told that their real parents don't want them anymore. It's possible he said something like that about her mother. We'll never know.

Heart wrenching, wasn't it?
