Opening scene with the shootout already told me this movie was going to be bad. A hit man who wears a red nose that can't properly hold a pistol and hiding under a table and trained mercenaries can't kill him even though armed with assault rifles. Such a stupid movie.

shareI don't think so; maybe if you like way, way over the top quirky characters/humor you think it was good. For most people (myself included) it was way too much. I love Sam Rockwell and this film is similar to Grosse Point Blank which I also love; I thought this was good premise but my god, it was just painful and unbearable. Like Grosse Point Blank on crack.
I shut it off after 40 minutes and I do not do that for very many films; I think only Terminator Genisys is one of the only films I shut off while watching it (because I was so annoyed at what i was witnessing). I don't even do that to movies I end up hating; it takes a special kind of annoying for me to not follow a movie through to the end.
I like a very wide range of movies. I will say, the first couple of scenes made it seem like it was going to be bad, but I stuck with it and really enjoyed it.
shareTo each their own. I don't know how I would rate this movie; it was 'good' at what it was going for. But what it was going for was just too over the top for me at least. I think it would have been better in more of a slap stick comedy type of format instead of 'bumping arms' with realism when it just did not resemble reality in any way. In slap stick you expect that type of way over the top humor, not so much in rom-com's which are usually based in realism and the humor that comes out of 'real' relationships.
So I guess a way of saying it is, I think it is a bad rom-com becuase the humor was not based in 'real' relationship between what could be real people but maybe it is a good fantasy comedy. But I found the 2 main characters just unbelievably unbearable and exhausting.
I thought it was entertaining and fun.
