Mitchell and Cameron (Modern Family) VERSUS. david and Bryan (TNN)

I have only seen one episode of TNN but no comparison! I like Mitch and Cam much better.
Mitch and Cam are more complexed characters. Although Cam as the mannerisms of a stereotypical gay man, he is athletic and has rugged skills. He can 'throw a baseball through plywood.'

And there are odd traits that have nothing to do with them being gay, like Cam being a clown. (I LOVED Fizbo standing up to that jerk at the gas station!)

Bryan seems too shallow. I just don't care for him as a main character. That kind of character works well as a side character, like Jack on Will and Grace, but as one of the top layer characters, he is not very likable in my view.
And David seems more like his parent than his lover!

Cam! Always Cam!

David and Bryan for sure. You can tell they are actually in love. Unlike Cam and Mitchell who just "look" like they are in a relationship. Obviously they care about each other but you can't tell they actually truly "love" each other.

David and Bryan obviously, they are so much in love.
Cam and Micthell are a bitter old couple that hate each other.

Mitch & Cam. And it has nothing to do with the fact that they're in their fourth season. I love those guys from the first episode. David and Bryan have no chemistry and don't blame it on Justin Bartha not being gay...Eric Stonestreet is straight, but he can act, that's the difference.

hmm... well, I've only seen one or two episodes of Modern Family versus the 11 of New Normal... I have to say I like Mitchell, but not so much Cam. I really like David, but not so much Bryan. I'm more endeared toward David and Bryan as a couple though... so, there's that.
