Season 3 episodes ranking

Given that I enjoyed all of them, my ranking would be:

1. Nosedive (3x01)
2. Shut Up and Dance (3x03)
3. San Junipero (3x04)
4. Hated in the Nation (3x06)
5. Playtest (3x02)
6. Men Against Fire (3x05)

Aside from obviously relevant factors such as expectations and first-time view impact, I'd rate "Nosedive" roughly as high as my other two favourite BM episodes, "The Entire History of You" and "Fifteen Million Merits".

Hated in the Nation
San Junipero- Probably the best executed episode, although I think this one should have been 90 minutes to allow more time for the central relationship to develop. As is, I couldn't buy into it fully.
Shut Up and Dance - Best acted episode, great tension throughout, and it gets bonus points for using Exit Music.
Men Against Fire
Nosedive- Felt like Black Mirror for network TV. A bit too on the nose, and too neat of an ending.
Playtest

Overall I wasn't a big fan of this season.

Even though I think San Junipero is absolutely perfect, I agree that it could have been longer.

Good that Hated in the Nation is your favorite. Hopefully going to watch it tomorrow.

I think "Shut up and dance" should rank high - It has a whole cake in it. So has "Hated in the Nation" - that's 2 cakes people, which is more than average for a six-part show! And no heads in boxes so far (just cake), which may have disappointed some.

You think American SciFi is good and then you watch the British stuff. And it is better, because it actually adds relevant social commentary. Ironically, I watched Bryce Dallas Howard receive an IMDB-popularity award and hold a little speech+act like she was rehearsing her role for Black Mirror. How much of an actor is actually alive? Do they get these little hints, or do they just keep playing when the camera is off? Is it ever off?

Nayway:

1. Shut up and Dance (because - think about it)
2. San Junipero
3. Nosedive
4. Hated in the Nation
5. Men Against Fire
6. Playtest

Really quite a brilliant show. Thank you, Britain!

I've watched the first four and I thought Playtest was easily the best. It seemed more original than the rest. First episode had a good concept but they overdid it. Episode 3 seems like something we've seen in the movies or other shows often. I may need to watch episode 4 again because I was a bit distracted, but nothing about it totally jumped out at me.

1- Hated In The Nation.

It is the only one of S03 I liked.
Not saying they 'americanized' it. But the show does feel different, wich I'd say comes down to a bit poor writing. Except S03E06, all of them have very predictible, and sometimes downright awful dialogue throughout. You keep waiting for the 'twist of the twist' like some in S01 and S02 used to have, but then the episode's finished and the whole point of the story is what you picked up on 20 minutes into the episode. So yes, not the bestest.
