Ever met anyone in real life who ever watches Black Mirror ever?

Whenever TV show discussion comes up with new person I always fire back with "Have you seen Black Mirror?" (makes me feel like I'm hip and in the know) but I've never gotten a positive confirmation back. Not once.

This show is incredible and most people have never heard of it, you think it would be impossible to keep a show like this a secret...especially in the substandard world that entertainment has created today, makes me wonder what other incredible shows out there I haven't found?

Game of Thrones I've heard of it yes thanks. Burn Notice is another hard to find.

What difference does it make if the people you talk to know the show? It's obviously popular and worth letting people know about. It's not "hipster" and your not special for knowing about it. Stop seeking validation from others and just do you. Black mirror is a great show but it doesn't make you special to watch it.

I am sorry, but what television are you watching? Between all the great cable series, Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu, I don't even have the time to keep up!

That is an incredibly ignorant thing to say, that there is no quality entertainment today.

No, and I've recommended it, but don't know anyone who has watched it yet.

Yes. My coworker

Well, yes. Several of my friends watch it and at least one of my coworkers. It's kind of popular among people who watches a lot of TV, and I don't even live in an english speaking country.

No, I had watched seasons 1 and 2 a year ago and absolutely loved it, I was mesmerized by every episode and also impacted on a very deep level. I remember after watching 15 million merits, I felt gutted, something in that one episode of TV had such an emotional effect. I could go on go, all the episodes making a strong impact through superb storytelling. I tried to get my family and friends to watch it. However, no one in my family seemed interested. I didn't understand why more people weren't watching or talking about this amazing series.

Now that Season 3 has premiered and there has been so much media about it, my husband and oldest son are interested in watching. I did get my husband to watch San Junipero with me, I thought that was a good episode to introduce the concept of the show, with what some might consider a "happy ending". My oldest son plans to start the show from the beginning.

It's interesting what a difference season 3 has made! I can remember when this forum only had about 4 pages of topics. It's wonderful the popularity and awareness Season 3 has brought to this incredible show - it's well deserved.

"The Walking Dead" is supposed to be a popular show, I think I've heard it cited as the "#1 show on television".

No one on my job watches it, none of the (young) people where I study Tae Kwon Do watch it, my niece and nephew don't watch it. All after 6 seasons, I still have no one to talk with about it.

I just found out about "Black Mirror" last week.

Hey, I encountered at least one guy in my dating escapades who said that not only does he not watch The Walking Dead, he's never even heard of it. True story. 

Did he just get out of a coma?

I don't know what the deal with him was. 

With things that are THAT bizarre what it really comes down to is that I can no longer perceive the person as someone worthy of my attentions, so I severed communication with him.
