Ever met anyone in real life who ever watches Black Mirror ever?

Whenever TV show discussion comes up with new person I always fire back with "Have you seen Black Mirror?" (makes me feel like I'm hip and in the know) but I've never gotten a positive confirmation back. Not once.

This show is incredible and most people have never heard of it, you think it would be impossible to keep a show like this a secret...especially in the substandard world that entertainment has created today, makes me wonder what other incredible shows out there I haven't found?

Game of Thrones I've heard of it yes thanks. Burn Notice is another hard to find.

Go out and meet some hipsters or people that do one degree after another and act as if they are much more important than other people despite never doing any real job :p

I'm just kidding (I'm not saying all the people who like BM are hipsters) but you got the drift.

reply

"but you got the drift," ummm, no not really........

Black Sales?..Penny Dreadful?

Black Sails, as in sailing on the open sea. Great show that got better after season one.

reply

Ah! Now I get you! Yes. I was very tired is my excuse.

Black Sales? Is that the one about the deals offered on Black Friday?

reply

I didn't even realize until you said that! It was very late when I posted :p

If you barely watch any shows at all and you talk to another person who barely watches anything at all, OBVIOUSLY it is rare that either of you have seen same shows except the most popular ones. It is logical. Black mirror is not "rare hipster show".

And if you managed to register yourself in imdb how can't you ffs find good shows to watch? Go imdb top tv shows and watch anything that is 7-8+ and interests you. It's simple.

Yah but those shows are voted on by Millennial's, they don't know anything, ther idiots. And Black Mirror is no 47 on that list, by that logic I'd have to watch 46 shows before I get to 47! 47 shows! I'd never make it!

How classy of you to disdain an entire generation for no reason.

Also, nice spelling.

I've known a couple people in real life who had seen the first episode (yes, with the one with the pig) but that was it. I did manage to convince one of those people to watch a few more episodes, but I don't know any diehard fans like me.

No, but I still tell people about it but also just add 'if anything just watch `White Christmas` and if you don't like that then the show's not for you'

Most of the stuff is pretty depressing and cynical; not a lot of people like the discomfort.

In late 2014 and 2015 this podcaster I always listen to always brings up Black Mirror, and the show sounds interesting so I looked it up on Netflix and ended up binge watching the first 2 seasons and I now really like the show (currently watching season 3 now).

To the OP, I get how you feel. Whenever I talk to someone about it they literally never heard of it.

I always hear about Game of Thrones and Lucifer a lot from other people, but they never heard of Black Mirror.

Once I was at friends bday and everyone was talking about shows we watch and it turned out everyone (except the bday friend) was mad about black mirror. We didn't have other shows in common, it was just bm.

I recently really enjoyed braindead, which only got one season and got cancelled cause so few ppl watched it, but it was genius and luckily, season ends very nicely (I am still hoping for someone like Netflix picking it up however)

Braindead is such a really *beep* good show. Everytime when I talk to someone about Braindead they never heard of the show. One time my dad deleted an episode off the DVR to make room for his shows and I remember being really super pissed about it and I had to watch the episode on the internet, a website that caused my computer to get viruses.

I agree the last episode of the season ended with good closure.
