The scenario of the first episode is utterly idiotic and too unrealistic for the story to have any suspense. The first rule of being in power is to not be subjected to just any passerby's blackmail, and not negociate with terrorists. Too idiotic for the story to work.

There are some episodes that did not like but S1E1 is the one that ranks below dislike. I tell people to skip this one or better yet watch the seasons in reverse order.
I almost stopped watching the series after that one. Fortunately, I didn't!
