If you read the authorized biography, I don't think the issue was entirely that Jobs considered his biological father in such a poor light.
The only people Jobs seems ever to have loved unconditionally were his adoptive parents, particularly his adored father. He never sought out his biological mother while his adoptive mother was alive because he was afraid of hurting her. I think part of his refusal to even meet his biological father had more to do with the fact Jobs idolized his adopted father and couldn't imagine anyone else living up to his exacting standards.
