Seriously, a lot of cheap remakes are getting made like this thai film that is one of my favorite films. 'coz Hollywood is much of a *beep* when it comes to remake
sharenot sure why you should even care, if you do not like remakes then do not watch them.
some people are glad this movie was made i enjoyed watching it, what is the problem?

The original film took more time with nuance, but it suffered from weird pacing issues as well.

i actually like the weird pacing of the original. i only kinda have issues with the ending, but i won't know for sure until the sequel makes it out of development hell. ^^
