Real physics

Closest too any sci-fi space movie you will ever watch.....its what factually would probably happen! Hands down best ive ever watched....however alot looked cheap, acting was so,so. Story was brilliant, its a shame. I loved this and put a smile on my face, true to life ending.shame didnt get a bigger budget to take the linear off,im not saying disney bull,im talking slightly better picture,if u get me.having said that...the guy who wrote this is a pure realist, factual.which isnt hard by the way but is hard in the days of crap like interstellar. I love sci-fi, but this wasnt sci-fi,it was closer to the truth,a legitimate portrayal! Thankyou 9/10

I would say that this was sci-fi, vs. most supposed sci-fi stories, which are really sci-fant. Science fiction, as in an imagined story using science elements that could be true; as opposed to science fantasy, which is a whimsical imaginative tale with totally unrealistic imagery, and a little science mixed in.

Can you elaborate as to why interstellar seemed like trash to you? It's been a while since it came out now but I recall they used real scientific models for their interpretation of a black hole. Neil degrasse Tyson did a fact review of the movie and gave it his seal of approval (with a few exceptions here and there). I'm not saying Interstellar was more realistic than this movie, but why would you consider it so terrible from a scientific perspective?

You have a limited understanding of the term. What you describe as science fiction is the sub-genre of science fiction usually called "hard" science fiction.

There are many other sub-genres, including soft sf, science fantasy, alternate history, time travel and others.
