It's a shame her character was killed off by the sand worm right after coming into the church without getting to confront Beetlejuice about what he did to her. Still liked the movie but she didn't get a good final villain scene.
shareIt would be different if she was the ultimate villain and the story revolved around the conflict with her. But there were multiple storylines with the producer/fiancé and the dead boyfriend trying to steal Astrid's place among the living. They all needed their comeuppance and there was no "main" to give that sort of final climactic scene to.
