Beetlejuice 2 is going to suck. I watched Beetlejuice on cable the other day and what struck me, having not seen the movie in years. Is that Beetlejuice. Ain't in the movie much. Even though he's ALL the parts you remember. I believe this sequel will be much the same, safely in the hands of the same creator. A little BJ here, a little BJ there, BJ all the last 20 minutes. It's going to leave folks, I think, underwhelmed. Even though technically: a rock solid sequel.

I'm endlessly baffled by this. I'm the A Hole that missed Fury Road in the theater. I was so upset that Mel wasn't back I didn't give it a chance and it turns out it was my favorite movie ever made. (I also specifically hated Hardy for destroying Star Trek. There was a lot going on. I used to care about stuff.) I thought for sure i'd get a new chance at that. Also late to the party with Twister. No re-release there either? Damn. I don't live in a big city, we don't have that fun theater that revisits classic films.
