I've seen a set photo of Jenna Ortega in a wedding dress, so maybe Jenna Ortega's husband dies and in despair she summons Beetlejuice to contact her dead husband's ghost. Naturally chaos ensues. Sounds like a plausible scenario to me.

I know that they have beetle-juice's wife in the mix for some reason. My hope would be that he married her just to get out of the afterlife gig and he still has his powers while in reality. But who knows, I hope she's not a wife that he's had this whole time in the afterlife because he is definitely not a character that would have one.

This Beetlejuice having a wife thing has me a bit worried, though. It could go very wrong in today's goofy Hollywood climate.
Hopefully Burton hasn't gone woke, the last movie I saw of his was Dark Shadows and although it wasn't a great film compared to his others, it was not woke. It would suck if the wife was there just to be the smart one and remind the audience how much of a Neanderthal Beetlejuice is.
