jenna ortega as lydia's daughter

keaton, o'hara and ryder to return.

buton to direct.

reply

No thanks.

Most say if J. Jones does not return that a film cannot be done. I will believe it when an actual production starts.

reply

What? He'd be really old now and not able to do as much. Plus I care more about Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice coming back than I do him or Alec Baldwin. Not to mention Alec Baldwin is much more overweight now and is no longer as good looking as he was in Beetlejuice 35 years ago. I can't even imagine him even looking at all like he did in the original Beetlejuice now.

reply

JJ can be older considering Lydia is in her 50s now. Alec Baldwin murdered a woman in cold blood and looks like a psychopath now, his character was also a ghost so it wouldn't make sense that he aged.

I think Lydia and Delia should have large roles but the Maitland's story was wrapped up fine. They are ghosts and should be left in the original film.

reply

Lord Rake, the charges against Alec Baldwin were dropped. A bit like your rape case (how's your father?)

reply

So the woman Baldwin pointed a gun at and pulled the trigger that sent a bullet through her brain, is doing well now?

reply

Won't be the same without Jeffrey Jones and Alec Baldwin... 🤐

reply

Yep. We need the inclusiveness of casting a pedophile and a murderer.

reply

thank you, as a liberal i can only agree with you 100%

reply

Jones is a convicted sex offender for possessing child pornography and soliciting child pornography. If the film's success depends on him, it doesn't need to be made. But I think the film will be OK without him. Keaton, Ryder, O'Hara, and Ortega can carry this film if it's well written and directed.
