I love this movie. It's gritty, realistic and just flows naturally.

Robert Redford at the age of 77 is amazing in the movie. As I said, realistic acting and events.

The storm scenes are just amazing. Please tell me that was high class CGI. Redford could not have been in a storm like that but it looked so real. Awesome effects.

Yes, it's a great movie and Redford is superb. I read that a lot of the stuff that looks like it was in open water was actually filmed in a huge tank and they mixed that seamlessly with stuff they genuinely shot with Redford out on the ocean. Redford did a lot of the physical stuff himself too.
