Spiders from outerspace happen to look like spiders on earth? (spoiler)

Just curious.

Kids in movies are always smarter and braver than the brats in the real world. Movie was about what it was suppose to be. It was okay. But I am curious to know why this spider would go down someone's mouth and then decide to cut it's way out of someone's abdomen. Can't figure what the purpose would be.

At the end of the movie you get a closeup and its not really like earth spiders. As far as 8 legged movement goes, there is an argument to be made that a lot od evolutionary paths we see are there because that works biologically. Altrough ironically knees are bad design as we found out trying to replicate it in robotics.
