For those of you confused about the ending...

If you weren't 100% sure that the sister was dead, I feel like I should clarify a few things so that you don't go looking for a discount surgeon online.

Transplants cannot be performed
- In a garage
- By one person
- By abducting a random person and hoping their blood type matches that of the person receiving the transplant
- With kitchen knives, no matter how nice the set is
- Without any kind of medical equipment keeping the 'patients' alive/breathing
- By a teenager whose medical training consists of "well I pulled a lung out of a dead bird one time so I think I've got this down"

Please avoid any craigslist surgery ads if you feel any of these factors might be involved!! But seriously, the sister is very, very dead.

The only reason I clicked on this thread was because I watched both the short film and the feature and couldn't decide if we're supposed to think that the mother stabs Pauline. Like a hug-stab combo. Why would anyone think that Grace isn't totally dead?

Her sister obviously did not make it out alive from the surgery. Her well meaning delusions are what end up killing her sister. That's what I find to be the most messed up thing of all.

She was INSANE. Nothing else matters.
