Am I the only one who actually liked this movie?

I thought TGD was decent. I was happy to learn Spot wasn't as annoying as I thought he would be, cause the trailers seemed to imply that at times. The beginning with Arlo and life on the farm was funny and, IMO, the best part of the movie.

Not Pixar's best, but certainly worth viewing at least once.

I cannot figure out how in the world Disney/Pixar came up with The Good Dinosaur and they should've not had a double whammy and just released Inside Out alone. The movie itself is drawn and animated really nice but the storyline is really sad and not for children to see and Disney expected it to be a hit? I don't think so. The storyline to me is one of the saddest storylines i've seen especially when Arlo loses his mom and they should've let Momma be still alive and it would've been a happier movie. The only character I saw steal most of the spotlight in The Good Dinosaur was Butch and that was mainly due to Sam Elliott providing Butch's voice. While I think Arlo seems to be a likeable character he mostly begins with an "I can't do it" attitude and not only that I think Disney animators copied the Sinclair Oil dinosaur mascot to create Arlo. There's a reason why The Good Dinosaur is not usually mentioned in Pixar merchandise because like Up it is underrated in my opinion

Great film, one of the better pixar films IMO. Yes, the start is a bit rough with the farm and generic family dynamics, but once Arlo and Spot are alone, the film shifts into high gear, and all the warmth and heart we love in Pixar films come forth.

Animation is top notch, one you get used to the cartoony charcter design.
