Why I won't be seeing this movie..

Simple: they need to fracking fire whoever put together the trailer!! Seriously. What's the point of seeing the movie if the damn trailer spoils 90% of the darn thing?? And don't give the the old "well you shouldn't have watched the trailer" speech. I had no choice, it played before both Captain America and X-Men. What? Was I supposed to plug my ears and shut my eyes everytime it came on?

Is it not a matter for tears that, when the number of worlds is infinite, I have not conquered one?

It's stupid to(without seeing it) assume that the trailer gives the whole thing away. That's quite a conclusion to jump to... without seeing it.

The trailer sucked. I found it very misleading after watching the film. The film itself isn't great, but watchable nonetheless.
If the trailer is the only reason keeping you from watching it, just forget it and watch it.

This has to be one the most remarkably helpful posts I've ever read! Now, all I will need to do is go to YouTube or the IMDB and watch trailers of all films and never, ever go to a theater again! And gee, if I wait two or three weeks and let others do it first, I won't even have to look at the trailers because people will have already checked the trailers that they say show the whole movie -- that I won't be seeing -- because of the trailer that showed everything.

Please.

This is one of the most frequent complaints on all movie boards. On average, it does seem to me that trailers reveal more than then used to.

I'm just amazed at the attitudes of many posters to trailers. They either make the complaint that:1 ... too much is revealed, as per our OP or 2 ... that some 2 or 3 seconds of footage they saw in a trailer sometimes 12 months ahead of the actual screening of the film concerned, isn't (surprise, surprise) included in the final cut.
