Why I won't be seeing this movie..

Simple: they need to fracking fire whoever put together the trailer!! Seriously. What's the point of seeing the movie if the damn trailer spoils 90% of the darn thing?? And don't give the the old "well you shouldn't have watched the trailer" speech. I had no choice, it played before both Captain America and X-Men. What? Was I supposed to plug my ears and shut my eyes everytime it came on?

Is it not a matter for tears that, when the number of worlds is infinite, I have not conquered one?

As someone who has seen the movie, I can promise you the trailer doesn't show everything - the fight with the detective occurs very early and sets off the action. Yes, the trailer shows a lot, but it thankfully doesn't spoil the most critical event in the movie.

It's very entertaining and I recommend you see it.

paulxpz, even if you dont see it in the cinema, at least watch it when it comes out on tv, the trailer really does not give anything away, i think you will enjoy it.

I'm not going to watch a movie the trailer of which isn't even spell-checked. A line from the review at Screen Daily is splashed across the screen during the trailer which says, "Taught, emotional thriller" or something of the sort. I checked out the review from which this is taken at Screen Daily. The word is correctly spelled taut there.

So it's some ignoramus at the movie company at fault. Turned me off the film straight away.

Good lord! That's pretty appalling.

(For whatever reason, though, I didn't spot that line in trailer I watched)

The most gorgeously shot film of the year. It puts Gone Girl to shame.

Why I have impression that you are a troll ?

You're blaming the trailer when you should be blaming the movie. If there was more than 40 seconds worth of plot or characterization in 90 minutes of film, they wouldn't have to put it all in the trailer.

How about if you haven't seen the trailer?

Is it as good as The Talented Mr Ripley? Love the whole vibe of that movie.

It's very different, and I liked TTMR a bit better -- let's face it, most everybody likes psychopaths at the distance of the screen -- but the acting is better in this one, more mature, the characters more complex. And though TTMR surprised a lot of people at the time, this story is really more original, IMO.

I stil like TTMR better, though. Matt Damon was better in that than he has ever been since -- and he has been very good in a lotof films.

Why I won't be reading your post....IGNORE USER

Hid reasoning may be inane, but he was civil and he had content not just a declaration. That and the low level of hyperbole bring him far short of the ignore user level for me. And there is no laugh at user flag, so I'll just have to judge each post by content.

People don't worry, on the boards of every great film, there is one such dumb and retard poster like this one who will ruin the film. He will try to overload the threads with his mental vomit that he didn't like the film while many will be praising that the film was great. Such mean are mostly births of 21st century who know nothing about human emotions, feelings, human errors, the THINGS a NORMAL human does, human mistakes, blunders and such things. They all believe that everything to be perfect enough like 2+2=4 and when it is not, they start screaming with their mental nausea to ruin it for everyone else who would have loved such film. Most of these people are today's iPhoners, Tablet users who have never seen a REAL LIFE because when they were born the world was being shown on 1080p LCDs or plasma screens. They know nothing about "human eye adventures".
