Nice good looking youngish guy......but his acting and his accent is well weird. Very stiff even. Liked him in sons of anarchy, but everything else hes been in he has imo been very bad. Do you think hes the reason this has flopped ?, hes hardly an A lister is he.
No, he's not the reason at all. Sure he's not so well known and most of his movie work hasn't been great (there's one called Lost City of Z this year tho that features his best performance) but I think this movie bombed because it looked like a CGI mess from the trailers and i've heard numerous people tell me that over the past couple weeks leading to its release. There was another King Arthur movie that came out in 2004 that didn't do so well either so that is also a problem. Also the fact it came out after Guardians didn't help much. There were a lot of factors basically.
I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance. A review of the movie here-https://youtu.be/AkM3BU5swmg
I'm thinking it may be the trailer as well. I just saw the film and I absolutely love it! Excalibur is my favorite Arthurian film and nothing comes close to it until this film. And I've seen the ff:
-Camelot
-First Knight
-King Arthur (2004)
-Mists of Avalon
-Tristan & Isolde
And I initially didn't plan on seeing this film though I like Hunnam well enough but because the other Arthurian films just don't hold a candle to the grandness, epicness, legendary and mythical nature of Excalibur. But I've heard great word of mouth reviews so decided to see it and boy it has all those qualities that I loved in Excalibur but different.
The trailer really didn't do the film any justice, it made it look like a generic film but it was the same for The 13th Warrior which I also love bit had an even worse trailer Imo.
I just read that this is the first installment of a planned 6 series film which I would love to have but now fear we may never get.
