It left me with a less favorable opinion of her
I didn't know she was the type to pull the "as a Latina woman" line all the time.
Imagine if white women dropped their race all the time?
Her superbowl performance had children in cages and she refused to get rid of it.
Does she understand that open borders = more migrants = more children drownings/deaths in trucks? That's worse. Big picture stuff.
So I felt she wasn't very smart.
Then her raising her fame in the 2000s in a bad way. The press more interested in her love life than her movies. Does she understand gossip magazines don't really review movies? Wasn't she dating super celebrities?
Then her wanting so very bad to be win an acting award. She needs validation. I saw that as weakness.
I was glad that she wasn't an emotional wreck when she didn't get nominated for an Oscar.
As for the ending, had they left it with the half time reviews, which were positive, it would be a great ending. You did it girl. You're a superbowl halftime artist. What an honor.
Instead they tack on her singing at President Biden's masked up inauguration. Her singing was woeful! I couldn't help but think of Jimmy Kimmel's line "I can't sing but neither can you!" which they had shown earlier.
Also, her daughter being included and singing at the superbowl to represent little girls...kinda cringe now that she's a "they/them" instead of a "she/her".
It got me thinking, what kind of parent are you to allow your daughter to pretend to be a boy?
