Wifey loved it. I hated it.

How the hell did this movie plot ever get pitched and accepted?!
Most convoluted plot which didn't make much sense - forced into play.
Zero chemistry between these two, but not very likeable characters to begin with - especially her.
SOOO cliched. I whispered almost every upcoming scene to my Wife in the theatre (which she hates - lol) - you could see them a mile away if you're looking. But then, I can never go into a movie and turn off my brain, like Wifey can. I like to analyze plot/direction/character motivation etc. She enjoyed it, so that made me happy - not the movie - LOL.

I'm with your wife on this one. I thought it was one of the most interesting and original films that I've seen in a long time. In a world where so many films feel like rehashes of other films, this was very refreshing and it also had a good moral message at its core.

It's also a movie where I felt like it steadily got better as it went. At first I was like, "Eh, this is pretty good . . . not bad . . . about a 7/10" . . . then I went to "hey, this is a really interesting film, like maybe a 7.5/10" and by the end I was thinking, "Wow, this might be an 8/10."

I suspect it will end up on my Top 10 for the year.

Thanks for presenting another point of view in a respectful way without being combative like 'You're a moron for not loving this masterpiece!'
We need more back and forth like this on this forum.
