Mocking the Moon Landing Conspiracy Theorists

love it we did Land on the Moon are returning with NASA's Artemis program.

Looks more like validating the Soviet propaganda to cast doubt on a great achievement by America. Leftist scum, Greg Berlanti from the CW is directing this.

The origin of the Moon landing conspiracies is not in USSR, but in USA. Nowadays I suspect that many of them are spread by Russia and maybe China in their effort to undermine trust in institutions and democracy. I think so, because some of the stuff you can find is deliberately created and its creators are aware that they are spreading misinformation, like fake translations of interviews with Russian cosmonauts. I even found behind the scenes footage from "Capricorn One" being sold as "leaked videos from the Apollo program". Another factor are hoaxes produced as a joke, but some shady news outlets publish them without bothering to do basic fact checking (you know, the type of news outlets consumed by people who believe in the "Big Media" conspiracy or whatever they call it).

As for the conspiracies themselves - they are complete joke. I'm into spaceflight and stuff, so believe me - no matter how convincing the arguments for conspiracy look, they are actually quite stupid.

It comes down to this. With the technology at that time it would just be easier to just land on the Moon that to fake it. Thousands of people worked on the Apollo program and you would think that at least one credible person would come forward with proof after 55 years. There is no doubt that the Moon landings were all real.

Now they got free footage to use in their propaganda videos that'll convince the mass indoctrinated public. Ah, gotta love being able to control the minds of the masses.

Saw the movie today. It is not a moon landing denial film. It's actually an anti-moon landing denial film.

I am right wing but gotta say I think it never happened , the press conference with the astronauts being so stiff , so sad / depressed while they are supposed to have accomplished the most incredible thing in human history and for their country kind of says it all ; the way they speak so slowly afraid to say something wrong, totally unconfortable lying on camera to the American people ; like a kid caught stealing candy embarassed looking at the floor trying to lie his way out of it...

press conference : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vr48AwYowb4

I was hoping that this would be adjacent to "Capricorn One," but I am guessing that this is a random "wacky" rom com.

reply

It has some legit funny moments, and also some romance, but it was a surprisingly serious film. And the takeaway is NOT that we didn't go to the moon.

reply

Darn! 😊 No, I know we went to the moon, many times. But, "Capricorn One" is one of my favorite movies ever, so...

I'll admit I put off seeing Capricorn One for years but that one was pretty damn good. Probably my favorite movie by Peter Hyams.
