OK, at the end, the Deputy just comes right up to Liz/Joanna and arrests her.

Are we supposed to recognize him from earlier in the movie?

The "Sir" (male madam) and the Sheriff of Bismuth were both killed, so who is this guy? Or is it not really important?

That's Nathan, he's the father of the baby that Liz was unable to deliver. He held a vendetta against her and swore he would punish her. Arresting and likely hanging her is his revenge.

Really?! Thanks, we were trying to work out who he was!
We thought he was a brother of the sheriff from the town Liz/Joanna worked in the brothel.
