Lawsuit

A Georgia man and his family “have faced threats of violence and live in fear” since the movie “2000 Mules” falsely accused him of ballot fraud during the 2020 election, according to a federal lawsuit.

The widely debunked film includes surveillance video showing Mark Andrews, his face blurred, depositing five ballots in a dropbox in downtown Lawrenceville, a suburb northeast of Atlanta. A voiceover by conservative pundit and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza says: “What you are seeing is a crime. These are fraudulent votes.”

In fact, a state investigation found, Andrews was dropping off ballots for himself, his wife and their three adult children, who all live at the same address. That is legal in Georgia and a state investigator said there was no evidence of wrongdoing by Andrews.

Why would anyone think that a man dropping off several ballots in a state that allows him to do so, was committing voter fraud? Just how stupid do the producers of 2000 mules have to be to make unfounded accusations against this man and his family?

I lose track of all the different rules between states but isn't the rule in Georgia that someone else can drop off your ballot, only if you have a physical disability?

You can drop off your family member's ballots. Even with the change in the rules, a family member can drop off your ballot. SB202 did limit the number of drop boxes and they are indoors now.

It is very stupid to claim in your documentary that a certain action is illegal, then fail to actually display the law that the subject of your film is calling a criminal.

How stupid are the producers of 2000 Mules? Very stupid.
