Not so long ago Colin Farrell could have been proposed as a brooding Batman - now he's cast as Oswald Cobblepot! Funny old world.

He was a hot property at one point. Then after rehab he nearly every movie he was in bombed or severely under-performed. He was even rejected for a role in Warcraft, because producers thought his presence would tank the movie financially. Now he seems to take roles in movies such as The Lobster, The Killing of a Sacred Deer, Roman J. Israel Esq., and The Gentleman which sees him getting some of his clout back. I don't know if he could take on Batman, as his Irish accent comes through briefly in some of his roles. Will be interested to see what he brings as Oswald Cobblepot.

Hard to follow in Robin Lord Taylor's footsteps. He was a great Penguin on Gotham.

I'm still curious how this is going to work out. Colin Farrell is in much better shape than Pattinson. Are they going to put him in a fat suit or is the Penguin going to be a physical opponent for Batman?
