Any other British reality that you'd recommend?
I like the show "One Born Every Minute," featuring birthing centers in the U.K. I like watching an uncertain parent-to-be fall in love with their squirmy little alien (ok, cute) baby as soon as they lay eyes on them. I'm not even sure I want kids of my own but it makes me laugh and cry.
A guilty pleasure show is "Supersize vs. Superskinny." It could be triggering to viewers prone to very disordered eating themselves or who are squeamish because it's pretty gross how some people eat. It deals with extremes: one person who hardly eats and is dangerously underweight, and another who overeats to morbid obesity. Both are typically insecure, stubborn, weak and malnourished, so though they may
look like opposites, they usually wind up sympathetic towards each other as they swap diets. This show is probably one of the reasons I'm a lot more mindful about the nutritional value of what I eat today.
While searching for that show once on YouTube, I accidentally found "The Supersizers Eat..." an unrelated show with Sue Perkins and Giles Coren immersing themselves in the diets and cultures of past eras. I found that really cute and funny, and eventually started watching the Bake-Off after recognizing Sue's name on it.
