did anyone else laugh out loud when Nathan made that comment about tv shows ended too soon? i did and people looked at me weird. his entire scene was funny as hell. but i thought that line with his delivery was awesome.
I laughed, and my daughter looked at me and laughed too. She's too young to remember Firefly or know of the Nathan Fillion connection though, so I'm sure she was thinking of Terra Nova or something that she thinks was canceled too soon.
Anybody recall the actual name of show Nathan Fillion/Hermes was talking about? It had "Hercules" in the title, I think, but I'm not sure of the complete wording.
There were only 20 or so people in the theater when my wife and I took the kids to see the move, everyone in the theater laughed, it was a nice feeling to be surrounded by browncoats.
God invented boobs to make men happy, but Adam pissed him off so he attached them to women.
It really could be either one. I've heard the same thing about Castle, so the Sea of Monsters script writers could have slipped it in. Or it could have been an improv that he slipped in himself.
Did anyone else think even his way of speaking was reminiscent of Mal? Things like "rude-like" and another thing he said (which sadly I have forgotten). I was laughing pretty much the entire time he was on screen. And his little comment about how of course the best shows get cancelled had me laughing (albeit quietly) pretty much until his scene was over.

I got it, and a young couple behind me laughed at the line too. But I was also thinking, "Enough, Nathan. Let it go." I loved Firefly, but I don't want to be expecting a Firefly in-joke every time I see Nathan.
I definitely did as well. His character was my favorite in the movie. Every line he had was hilarious. Proving there is no such thing as small roles, only small actors.
