Tarantino is a THIEF

EVERY film he makes is the SAME: excess blood....rip-off lines and cinematography from other films....but this one takes the cake!
What really turned me off was the MUSIC....hip-hop music in an 1800's story....how pathetic. He's so afraid that modern audiences will get BORED by 1800's styles...also nobody in this film looked like they were from the 1800's....especially the women. Just watch THIS movie and you've seen ALL Tarantino films, and ALL western movies that have ever been made!

Hmm, well, as much as I enjoyed this movie, you do make some good points. He did learn about film in a video store, so maybe that's why he isn't that original. I really liked this movie, though, despite the excess violence.

Why the *beep* do you still watch them in this case, idiot??

An argument that Tarantno is a "thief" could certainly be made, but not for the reason the OP claims.

Rather, compare Reservoir Dogs with City on Fire or The Hateful Eight with the episode Fair Game from the tv show The Rebel.

A lot of his work is a clearly-loving homage (Django's name, for one) and are openly acknowledged by him, but cases likw the two above examples are much more blatant "inspirations" that worryingly have never been acknowledged as far as I've known.

Hot dang, you're right.

I watched City on Fire but never made the connection, it's a far superior film to Reservoir Dogs in every way, especially how it actually DELIVERS the action and violence based on the tension built up throughout the film.

Reservoir Dogs isn't bad, but it's way too wordy for what it should have been.

there was one modern pop song in one scene.. it lasted 30 seconds....

You seem to neither understand film and homage nor cinema in general. good day sir

reply

Good points.

And claiming that watching this is anything like watching any other Tarantino film is ridiculous as well.

reply

There was "I need a 100 black coffees", a fucking JohnWannabe Legend song and pretty much every song in the final act.
