The show IMHO has been on the decline since Asylum and I feel like this season is basically an admission of that in that they had to return to what made this show so great. I'm really loving it so far and Jessica's cameo was amazing! I miss her so much, I feel like I would love just another season of Murder House though.
shareAgreed. See how the finale plays out, but I think this'll end up as one of the better seasons. The format of having most of the story be a flashback isn't my favorite, but it's working. I was initially really apprehensive about this season. It felt a little gimmicky. I'm a bit apprehensive about AHS. It almost felt like they decided to do a mash-up season to make things a bit easier on themselves (as if the originally planned Season 8, now 9, wasn't ready yet), though it still is its own stroke of genius. But also reverting to classic seasons (any of the first 4 in my opinion), worked as an excuse to get Lange back. Of course now all of her characters are dead, so who knows if we'll see her again.
The first several episodes we're shaky but it improved considerably.
