Season 6 is unwatchable

I had been saving shows on my DVR . I thought AHS was usually longer but i checked and the season was over.
So I figured I would watch it .
I was very unimpressed with the first episode. Got maybe 20 minutes into episode 2. I couldnt take any more . The format of the show is just dumb. I couldnt watch 10 episodes of that .
I know there are other shows that use that format of retelling a story through flashbacks and dramatization . But to use it for a season to tell one story?
Just way too much .
It just seemed like an excuse to have actors from other stories . You have Sarah Paul and Lily Rabe basically playing the same character.
I have watched the previous seasons and I thought they were one or 2 episodes too long. I was happy to see this season was shorter . So I figured they would be stronger . Nope. Take away the format of this season and it would maybe be 6 episodes long . Just a vehicle to stretch the season out .
I hope next years is way better .

That's so crazy because I watched all ten episodes straight through no problem.

Are you sure you know the meaning of the word "Unwatchable"? It's a tough one, I don't blame you.

Btw to everyone else reading this-

Take away the format of this season and it would maybe be 6 episodes long .

Yeah I was like wait what? Haha

Not unwatchable, basically boring I'd say.. You don't really care about any of the characters, and the ending was lame, lacking any elements of surprise..

Sarah Paul

Who is Sarah Paul?????????????????????????????????????????????

reply

Sarah Paulson's Jamaican cousin. There's even a picture of them together.

What the hell I want to know the background behind that picture.

It's on the set of Ocean's Eight. It's basically become an internet meme.

Rupaul's sister.

reply

Yeah I watched it with no problem as well.

Cool story, bro.

You don't even know the actresses names and using flashbacks is usually HOW a story is retold. Idiot.

There are multiple ways to watch it.

If your attention span could've handled it, you would've seen that the whole season isn't in this format.

You have Sarah Paul and Lily Rabe basically playing the same character.
Of course you mean Sarah Paulson and she's playing an actress named Audrey Tindall who is playing Lily Rabe's character. And if you never finish this season, then you are going to miss out on her and she is one of the greatest characters this show has ever created.

Take away the format of this season and it would maybe be 6 episodes long . Just a vehicle to stretch the season out . I hope next years is way better .
This is why judging an entire season before you've watched the entire season is dumb.

ps: You don't have to put a space in between the last word in a sentence and the period.

I just sort of...I dunno...turned on the media centre. Seemed pretty watchable that way.

I was worried about this season up until the main characters through the first five episodes came to that house .

I was hooked from then on out found this season to be intense, clever, creative, and brilliant.

The first 5 seasons were excellent. Season 6 has the look and feel of a poor high school project made by someone who just wants a passing grade and was lucky enough to win one of those charity experiences where the prize, in this case, was to get to work with the excellent actors who deserve better than this sad production.

The previous seasons had superb writing and tight stories. Season 6 was slopped together and had huge plot holes, story arcs that died by the roadside, and segments that started off well enough but lost their continuity with an apparent need to hurry up and move on to other under-done story bits. One major problem is that the writers couldn't make up their minds whether they wanted to focus on the Roanoke connection or the stereotypical hillbilly cannibal crap. The inclusion of the killer caretakers was pointless. The pig man was irrelevant. The past and present children were unnecessary. The finale doesn't do a thing to wrap up loose ends. Only the acting was up to the quality of prior seasons.

Between the flashbacks to previous residents, and most recent homeowners, I wondered: Why is it taking everyone so long to figure out they should burn down this house? And why does "Croatone" only work part of the time?

Lately, I've been watching a lot of those ID channel crime shows that use that format, so I kind of felt like this season was tailored for me. I giggled and let out an "aww yiiiissss!!!" I also love gore so yeah...pretty much dug this season.
