This movie will stand as one of the best of all time

That's not even a fan saying it.

SPOILERS in this review however...

“The film is everything anyone could want from a comic book movie, and will stand as one of the best of all time.” – Eric Eisenberg (Film Critic, CinemaBlend)

That's a critic.

Some spoiler free highlights...

The new sequel is a character driven story that is as much about Captain America (Chris Evans) fighting a wide-spread and powerful enemy as it is about him finding a place in the modern world, adjusting his life completely after having grown up in the 1930s, fought in World War II and been frozen in ice for 60+ years.

It’s a mark of a great script and a great edit if you can look back at an entire film and not find a single extraneous scene, and that’s just one of Captain America: The Winter Soldier’s many great hallmarks.

The script is taut and well-structured, the layers of the film’s mystery unfolding gradually and leading to an ambitious third act filled with important consequences. Every scene that doesn’t directly relate to the plot adds great layers to the characters and their relationships.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is Marvel’s most thrilling, action-packed work yet.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is a spectacularly-made, tense, thrilling ride, and whether you go to the theater for the blockbuster action or the exciting story, you will leave more than satisfied.

The review was saying that this will stand as one of the best COMIC book movies of all time. Not that it's one of the best films of all time.

Not just sequels but one of the best all around films of all-time.

Without question. At least questions from those people that actually matter.

While the movie had its moments, in the end, I asked myself "what is pulling this train" ? I had no answer. At its core, TWS was a very hollow movie, but that doesn't make it bad. It had a few grievous flaws, like an unfortunate final act, and that silly cartoonish German guy in the old bunker computer. Still, I'd give it a B or B-.

like an unfortunate final act,

What was unfortunate about it?

and that silly cartoonish German guy in the old bunker computer.

You aren't familiar with the comic books, are you?

reply

cartoonish German guy in the old bunker computer

Why not? Many movies use that concept of transferring memories into a puter.

Good to see the follow up might be even better.

So very good.

Now it's part of THE best trilogy of all-time. Thus, farther cementing this movie's place in history.

As another thread here pointed out however... "Every Marvel Studios Film Has Been Great So Far" so, why wouldn't one of Marvel's best be an all-time best? It's like finishing in the medals at the Olympics. It's the best of the best.

Already there.

Is this still the best sequel of the century or is Civil War the superior movie?

Stand as a thread until 2/20...

IMDB is made up of dipwads.
