Prey (2022) vs Alien: Romulus (2024)

Which do you prefer?

Both are new entries into Fox's two classic Sci-Fi/Action/Horror franchises and of course these franchises have crossed over in the past.

Alien: Romulus was originally meant to be a straight-to-streaming release like Prey but they decided to opt for a theatrical release with many thinking Prey's positive reception was the catalyst for their change of mind.

I haven't seen Alien: Romulus yet but it'd have to be one hell of a movie to best Prey.

I wasn't a big fan of either one, but Prey is noticeably better than Alien: Romulus.

I'd give both movies an 8/10.

But I'm a huge Alien fan so I think Alien: Romulus is a little better. Both are really entertaining.

Both films aimed at young audiences 15-25 year olds. I like both but enjoyed watching Romulus wide. It looked good on the big screen despite a very slow start.

Prey had an embarrassingly shoehorned Mary-Sue. The first half hour was the film force feeding us the fact her tribe thought she couldn't do the job of a man.

Then it doubles down with a fucking flower that decreases body temp.

Prey, but both are great! I think I liked Prey more because the lead actress was better and they had more new things, versus Romulus stayed pretty close to the Alien 1 vibe.

Both where badass but this one was cooler
