Behind the first. It’s a VERY well made thriller with great characters and clever thrills. The film is at its weakest when it’s lifting from other Alien movies, because its original ideas are excellent. This franchise has been running on fumes for a decade and has been one Jaws 4 away from being…well, a franchise like Jaws. But Alien: Romulus is FUN, EXCITING, and HORRIFYING, and has injected a well-needed boost of wealth into the Alien movies. Loved it!

It’s a solid 6.5 entry, it’s better than Resurrection and the AvP twaddle but that’s it, and the idea that it’s better than Aliens is flat out insane.

But yes, I concur. They knocked it out of the park with Romulus! (As expected from Fede.) Exactly what the series needed, yes indeed.

I believe that you have only just finished watching the movie and are very excited, so excited that you are literally blurting out how great it is. Once you have sat down and assessed properly you will come to your senses.

Totally true. It's incredible thay have lasted more than 40 years to achieve it.
