Minor Factual Error

In one of the latest trailers, it shows the crews in Zero Gravity and the Splashed Acid Blood (from shooting of some xenomoprh) floating in air like large clouds of fractal webs while the crews floating in air who can't control their trajectories, try to avoid hitting those Blood cloud-webs. Very interesting scene & nice concept from Fede.

BUT....

Liquids does not behave this way in Zero gravity. Due to surface tension, any liquid in Zero gravity will compress to a shape with minimum possible surface area and which is: SPHERE.

The Acid Blood floating in Zero Gravity will form Spherical Blobs and not like how it's shown in the Movie!

Science fiction. Alien blood may not react like ordinary liquids

It's Physics. It will happen to all kind of liquids. The writer/directors perhaps weren't aware or missed the logic. I'm not saying that the scene couldn't have happened had they followed this law of physics.

The scene could have still happened with Spherical blobs of Acid Blood and the crews trying to avoid hitting them. May have looked aesthetically even better.

Science fiction takes liberties with physics. Per physics, we can't travel faster than the speed of light and go to other galaxies, but movies render those impossibilities nonetheless. It's alien blood: we're led to assume that their blood doesn't react the same way as other liquids
