How the young cast works for this movie remains to be seen, but he makes a good point. It is tougher to see kids die than older people, at least in real life.

Not really, not if they’re a pack of annoying, diverse ‘street’ kids like these.

Based on the trailer, I’m siding with the alien this time.

More like the younger they are, the more inexperienced and stupid they become, like your typical slasher movie.

"The Thing" (1982) is one of my favorite films of all time, in large part because how smart the characters are and how they avoid just walking into dangerous situations constantly.
