And the urban London accent has been around for centuries.
I'm saying we don't here Dickensian London accent nowadays, so why would we possibly expect to hear a contemporary London urban KFC accent long into the future from now?
Language evolves...
It's logical that the old fashioned Dickensian accent evolved into something less formal, we were a more mannered society back then.
And there are variations of the London accent anyway, plus London has many different cultures and different languages are mixed together and absorbed.
So in the future there may be more variations of different London languages, but that's not to say that the urban London accent will go away.
That said, I also think that the accent sounds out of place in tge trailer anyway. To me it sounds like a stage actor trying to pull off the urban accent, not realistic.
we shouldn't be expecting to hear something like that in the future.The characters are dressed almost the same as in 2024. Accents change more slowly when groups are less isolated. Today's movies and TV accents will last longer than in the past. share
