It Can't Be Overstated How Much I Miss This Show...

It just seems like ever since the show reached its final conclusion and left me that a void in me for television has been empty since lol. Didn't help re-watching 6741 and Return 0 today ( my two favorite POI episodes ever ).

I miss the awesome experience that is POI invading our homes... I know im not the only one :(

I'm able to rewatch the show with 2 episodes every Saturday afternoon, yesterday's were the end of season 1 and the first episode of season 2.

I have the DVD/BLURAY combo packs for S1, S2, S3. I have S4 and S5 on DVD.

Bottom Line: I have all five seasons on home video one way or another Lol.

Me too. I just started watching my Season 5 DVDs today. This is my second time through Season 5.

reply

I am on my rewatch and am on the finale of season 3. Man this show is sooo good the second time viewing.

reply

Yeah, I haven't done a full series re-watch yet ( although I know many people have who miss the show ).

I have only re-watched 6741 and Return 0 ( and thats only because they are my two favorite POI episodes ever ). One of these days have to get down to more then these two... its too incredible of a series not to and I own all five seasons to do it Lol.

What STUPID TV Exec *beep* cancelled this GREAT show? Best TV I've seen in a decade. Having worked in TV, I know the vain, greedy, empty-headed execs seem to pollute the business, and it makes no sense to cancel this show. If I could use the machine for a minute, I'd like to find that Ahole, and kill him.

This is a quote from CBS' Facebook page of PoI.
In case you haven't seen it:
"Michæl O'Sullivan: You are being rewatched. My living room has a secret system, a machine that can run blu-rays every hour of every day. I know because Samsung built it. I purchased the machine to screen acts of science fiction and drama but it plays everything. Violent shows involving amazing people, people like John Reese. Shows the TV networks eventually considered "irrelevant." They wouldn't renew, so I decided I would. But I needed high definition and something with no ads in between. Hunted by friends, family and pets, I watch in secret. They'll never find me, but from 'Pilot' to 'return 0', if an episodes's number is up... I've got it."

Love it! Thanks :)

I understand you, a hundred procent. I started watching this serie two years ago and stopped somewhere in season two. I picked it up again one month ago and binge watched everything. In my opinion, the show kept getting better and better. It's amazing how you can get so attached to on screen characters. I liked all of them. Elias, Reese, Shaw, Carter, Fusco, Finch (although he seemed the least trustworthy) and Root.. I'm really fond of Root -_-' Amazing character, and above all, Amy is such an amazingly charismatic beautiful woman. Just a side note, her husband plays also in POI :)

There is still a lot to discover by rewatching. You can join the conversation on reddit if you like

It is nice to discuss the small things and the way other people understand it.

I miss the show very much too. It was a high point in television, and it proved that people could still tell great stories, given the chance. None of this reality *beep*

you guys should check out westworld... it is actually being mostly written by jonathan nolan and his wife. it is good, altough a lot less action that poi and no root :( ... but it is about ai and real smart, which is one of the things i loved about poi how smart it was, even the monster of the week episodes were mostly brilliant.

for maximum enjoyment i would suggest between each episode to watch one of the review & theories episodes on youtube by someone you like (there are at least 4-5 different channels that did them) so you can kind a relive how it was watching it week after week since there was some wild theories and a lot of really small details that were huge as the season was moving on :)

i like this guy https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8zAiZUuUXe-touFVopBbZw and this one https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDiFRMQWpcp8_KD4vwIVicw

And whatever you do don't go to the imdb board or reddit before you finish it.

I wasn't able to watch the last episodes until this past weekend, and I agree, TV will be empty. I must say, however, that the series finale was one of the best I have ever seen and really allows the possibility of a future show with Shaw and Fusco. And Bear.

And speaking of Bear, I am really happy he wasn't killed off or just forgotten about. The writers really got the ending of this show right.
