the New police guy who was the kidnapper.That would have been a cool twist

It wouldn't really have been a twist since the movie hinted at this several times.

I would have liked that as well.

Another idea:
Her sister ran away on porpuse.
When Amanda followed the randoms guys instruction to get into forest, her sister was maybe waiting there for her and trying to kill her.
Imagine the sister got crazy cause she couldn't deal any longer with her sister being crazy as well.
She got annoyed by always checking on her while she had to focus on her studies.

I like this! The sister could have also been mental because of the parent's tragic death. One tiny little hint of that could have been dropped near the front, enough to be overlooked at first. Blames the younger sister for parents death because of something etc etc

Unfortunately not but we could hire Armie Hammer and Lindsay Lohan to play our main characters. We do not have to pay them salary, they would work for free as noone else would give them roles anymore.
