Amanda's acting

Is it just me or she is getting worse with every next movie ?

reply

Just you :-)

reply

It's just you.

reply

It's you.

And you're replying to me because.......? Lol...

He/she always does that. Replies to last post instead of OP. Just did it to me, twice. Kinda annoying. *Sigh*.

I know, right? How hard is it to scroll back to the top to reply to the OP?

Oh Christ you two. Grow the hell up. It was quite clear who she was responding to but both of you are making an issue out of something that isn't an issue. Why, may I ask?

Do you just feel the need to point out everyone's errors or mistakes?

Why do we live in a society where everyone acts like a dick over such petty stuff?

I am starting to feel the internet is mainly an outlet for angry bitter people who only know how to scrutinize, judge, and attack people.

You imply, but assumption, that the reason this happened was because you think they were too lazy to scroll back up? REALLY?

Not everyone is as computer savvy as the next, not everyone is fully aware of how the format works (of course you two must know so well because you spend a lot of time on these boards - might that be because you have antisocial behaviors?

And why are people such disgusting cowards that they feel so liberated to attack others over the internet by saying things they would never say to someone's face?

Hope you feel better now though.

reply

Right.

And you just made a bigger deal of it than we did.

reply

Well that's 15mins you're never getting back :P

Looks to me like that's what you're doing.

Do you just feel the need to point out everyone's errors or mistakes?

Do you just feel the need to act like a whiny little bitch in all of your replies to me?

Why do we live in a society where everyone acts like a dick over such petty stuff?

Hmm...don't know. Perhaps you could answer that question yourself since...you seem to be all hot and bothered by a couple of comments made on an internet message board over a year ago 

I am starting to feel the internet is mainly an outlet for angry bitter people who only know how to scrutinize, judge, and attack people.

Interesting. Write a book about it.

You imply, but assumption, that the reason this happened was because you think they were too lazy to scroll back up? REALLY?

...Was it not obvious enough for you?

Not everyone is as computer savvy as the next, not everyone is fully aware of how the format works (of course you two must know so well because you spend a lot of time on these boards - might that be because you have antisocial behaviors?

Being computer savvy has nothing to do with it. However, common sense does. Since all of this is just a matter of clicking the Reply button, it isn't difficult to simply click Reply to the person whom you're intending to reply to. That's all we were saying. And I'm not sure if you were able to take a breath and read the comments below or not but if you did, you'd see that the poster (who I was talking about) and I were at good terms and he/she certainly didn't throw a tantrum over it like you're doing.

And why are people such disgusting cowards that they feel so liberated to attack others over the internet by saying things they would never say to someone's face?

Ask a Psychologist. You should definitely be seeing one soon.

Hope you feel better now though.

Well we know you're certainly feeling better, now that you've got your Aspergers-induced tirade out of the way 

Peace out.

And that is how a chick makes a scene.

reply

I thought she was very good.

reply

Sorry, I only use the flat format. I will remember to click reply from the poster I'm responding to in the future so that it makes sense to those of you who don't also use the flat format.

reply

It's okay. You should change your format to Nest. It shows you who replied to who and you can actually follow conversations

reply

I really don't like the look of the other layouts (and really do like the look of this one). I will have to remember to click on reply to the post that I'm most thinking about when I respond. Had no idea that I was irritating multiple people. Oops!

reply

Lol, don't worry! It's okay, man!

reply

Nope, she's as good as ever, it's you.

...then whoa, differences...

reply

I see what you did there. Looking to start some drama, eh?

reply

lol stupid I know, but it was hard to resist.

reply

I understand

reply

He/She's right. It really is easy to reply to the wrong poster when using the flat format.

reply

It's not just you.

It's mot just you. I watched this film yesterday, and her acting was horrendous in any emotional scene. It was tolerable in scenes which didn't require any emotional depth, but in most scenes she was just bad.

reply

Please shut all your *beep* mouths she was praised for her performence eventhough the movie has bad reviews ! so all of you *beep* you *beep* up and go troll someone else!

reply

She was really good in Les Mis, but that's because she really can sing. I also really want to see Lovelace. I saw the just released trailer & she looks good in that. She was also good in Mean Girls playing the ditzy girl. But for the most part she's just eye candy, IMO. Not that I mind, I'll watch anything she's in, good or bad

reply

True, but this isn't very compelling material to work with.

"For dark is the suede that mows like a harvest"

reply

I did rewatch the movie just to see if I would like it again but it really isn't all that great since it feel as though there are lot of plot holes despite a great performance by Amanda Seyfried.

reply

Yeah, I really like her as an actress. She is in the elite group of young American actresses. Doing "Lovelace" shows that see's willing to take risks to expand her range. She's not just a gorgeous woman, she's a natural talent as an actor.

Well, the movies she took is getting worse.

You know, sometimes, it just means that she is not as good a actor as others claimed to be.

reply

GONE was a good movie,BTW, and Seyfried was good in it,

reply

I agree with you activista!:-)

"A real man would rather bow down to a strong woman than dominate a weak one"

reply

It is generally a pretty efficient little thriller. Seyfried didn't give an award-worthy performance, but it's not the kind of movie that really requires one.

I really didn't like "Lovelace" ("hey, let's make a movie to exploit the public's prurient fascination with porn, but then base it on the book of a congenital liar/professional victim, so we can also be morally self-righteous about it"), but that wasn't Seyfried's fault.

I'll always remember her from the swimming pool scene in "Alpha Dog" when she and Amber Heard take a 15-year-old kid's virginity because the exact same thing happened to me when I was 15 (oh wait, no it didn't--not even close. . .)

reply

I do second.

reply

Actually, this is the first movie in which I thought she did a good job. I had seen her in the rich, entitled teen flicks, in that Red Riding Hood mess, and was not at all impressed. But she appeared to execute her craft very creditably, despite having a rather thin script with which to work.
