I thought it was hard to follow because the scenes were all over the place as opposed to chronologial order.

It drove me nuts trying to follow.

Did you like the 1994 version?

Yes, it was quite good.

The 2020 version semed Ok, but the story jumped around too much - very hard to follow.

I could identify the characters and I liked some of things they were doing, but the way it was presented was... it wasn't just annoying. It was like, aggressively annoying. It really bugged me. I literally thought while watching it: Is the show TRYING to piss me off? Is it edited this way on purpose to get this reaction out of me? Am I supposed to be annoyed for some pay off in the finale? No, it was just annoying.
