I will never watch this
the same for all fanboy movies
shareSo why did you go to a page for a movie that you will allegedly never watch, create a thread and then state your position?
Why did you seek attention for something that you state that you won't do? Who are you defying? Who is forcing you to watch something that you have independently chosen NOT to watch?
If you're being held captive against your will blink three times and someone will send help.
just pointing out my disgust with Hollywood
shareReally? Why pick the BP board to point out your disgust with Hollywood? No one in Hollywood will EVER read this thread.
Why not do what Hans Blix did in Team America: World Police and write them a letter telling them how disgusted you are?
Makes more sense to me.
I hate all superhero/comic book crap.
shareIn order to hate them all you would have to had "Seen" them all. Wouldn't you?
But I thought you were talking about your disgust with Hollywood? Now you "Hate" all superhero/comic book crap?
Stay focused. What is really bothering you? Have you gone to every Superhero/Comic book board and posted that you will never watch that particular movie? Let's check your posting history...
I'll be right back.
I never ate shit to know I wouldn't like it; like any sane person.
PS - going to "check" someone's posting history is also borderline stalking
To which I say. You've eaten TONS of reproceesed shit in the form of fertilizer on almost all of your plant based foods. Tasted great didn't it?
Don't be so paranoid. Wait. I might need to go check your posting history to see if there are signs of paranoia in your previous posts. I'm worried about you.
I'll be right back...………..
OMG!!! you DID eat shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't be a stalker dude. It's not good.
So you are saying that you are an exclusive "carnivore"? Carnivores tend to be "Predators" also.
This might explain your aggressive behavior in some of your retorts and replies. But don't worry it will remain your little secret.
Oh wait! We're on a public forum.
Back to BP.
Since you've now watched the movie BP were you not surprised that it wasn't a BLM agenda as you thought it would be?
And I did check the Portugal/Angola Box office and if that BLM agenda is perceived in BP it hasn't really affected the Box office performance:
Black Panther Portugal.....2/15/18...$548,863....38.2%...$1,435,878.....3/04/18
Justice League Portugal...11/16/17...$519,191....35.7%...$1,455,923.....1/28/18
No, I'm saying you just denounced youself as having eaten shit because... hey... you must first try to know if you hate it or not.
Wash your teeth before kissing your own mother.
Except you are making a complete straw man argument, making an extension of one category, foodstuffs, to include a completely separate category, bodily wastes.
A more apropos argument would have been, "I never ate seafood to know I wouldn't like it; like any sane person." However, when you keep your argument logically consistent like that it suddenly loses power. Many sane people love seafood, and since you haven't tried it, how would you know you don't like it?
In Hownos case, we have to maintain that same logical consistency. Since he is coming to a movie chat site, we can assume he likes movies. He then states that he "hate(s) all superhero / comic book crap." See how those two items are in the same category?
The one place I would agree with you, where NorrinRad goes a little too far, is assuming you would have to see ALL superhero / comic book movies to hate them all. As long as Hownos has made an attempt to view a small, representative sample of movies of that genre, he can then extrapolate, intelligently, that in a very general sense, movies of that type do not appeal to him. Much as saying I would have to eat every single variety of seafood to know I don't like it would also be incorrect... but if I can say, "I've tried shrimp, scallops, and crab, and I hate the taste of all of them, so I can assume I will hate lobster, clams, oysters, etc., as well."
Of course, if that were the case, Hownos should be able to articulate himself far better than he does here, giving reasons WHY he "hates" movies of this genre. "I hate seafood because I do not enjoy the earthy, salty taste and the texture," "I hate superhero movies because I find the premise silly (men in tights with superpowers) and the depiction of normal people as helpless without their super powered protectors as slightly insulting," would be totally acceptable.
However, in this case, I chalk it up to simple trolling. Your straw man argument does nothing to mitigate his trolling.
Just download it and watch if you don't want to support Hollywood. This movie isn't all that bad as it isn't all that great as those make it out to be. It's a nice watch and forget movie like most of the other endless Marvel Superhero movies. I say watch it so at least you get some background on BP himself.
Ah nvm, just saw you hate comic/superhero crap...
Cool story, moron.
shareComic-hero movies suck, as a genre...
I'll usually only watch one comicbook/kids movie in cinema per year...
I thought I'd get it out of the way early this year with Black Panther. Last year was Last Jedi, the year before was Superman V Batman... It's better than Last Jedi and is a better made movie that Batman V Superman, but lacks the cinematic moments that Snyder was reaching for in that movie...
It's more of the same. It tried to escape the inanity of most comic book movies by taking advantage of political allegory as Wakanda's foriegn policy alternatives are those that America faces and some throne games, but ultimately it is still a movie about shouty characters throwing CGI at one another... 😂
This is a problem with the genre... While there are minor exceptions, unlike horror movies, thrillers and such, Supercartoon movies rarely seem to go beyond vapid consumerism, to reach for something aethetically interesting, spiritually moving, or even intellectually and emotionally engagging... It's all spectacle and fan service... And it's OK.
Good for you? Want a cookie?
You're not missing much anyway, just your average run of the mill superhero movie at best.
Marvel movies have gotten a bit boring at this point thats for sure.
but one of the most annoying aspects of this film is how we have been reminded 425 times that its stars are ALL BLACK, the director is BLACK, the producer is BLACK, the screenwriter is BLACK, and its an ALL BLACK production made specifically for the BLACK EXPERIENCE>
