It’s just how it is. The Chinese will not want to see this, China is where flops turn profits.

shareYeah okay SWS, totally.... except of course the success of Blade even with it's R rating sparked the Marvel /superhero blockbuster craze that's still going strong 20 years later. Hancock was definitely a box office flop though. It barely made four times it's $150 million budget.

It did better than most MCU films have done in China. $105 million in China makes it the 11th most profitable of the 23 MCU films at the Chinese box office. Plus, it's the 12th highest-grossing film worldwide in history, and 4th domestically. I'd say it did well by any measure.
