SA accent
So annoying and makes it even more difficult to follow the movie

Haha I thought exactly the same thing.
shareWaw ! The perfect answer ! 👏
shareIt definitely takes getting used to. The way it sounds when Die Antword raps is kinda cool. But doesnt flow as well as American or British rappers.

I am sure it is a lot cooler then your lame accent.
shareSA accent. . . So annoying and makes it even more difficult to follow the movie

priceless!
shareSome of them make it too easy. Another dude, mycelo, challenged me to a rap battle in the thread linked below. . .

He seems like a fairly intelligent cat, and probably raps. . . I don't see a non rapper randomly challenging someone to a rap battle. . . so I'm pretty sure wordsmithing is his comfort zone. I accepted, and asked him to start a call out thread to make it official. This one should be fun. . . and hopefully a challenge.

Wha's so hard about that, Bru?
You okes can't follow a film that simple and straightforward, no other accent is going to help!
I didn't think the accent was annoying or difficult to follow at all. What's your first language?
shareI'm gonna guess American English.
shareAmerican English is my first language, and I understood the dialog just fine. . .
OOOOOooooooohhhhhh. . . . you mean the feeling you take from his post that anything he doesn't get is wrong, including foreign English dialects. . . and the way his OP is signatured with the quip about being open minded?
Yep. That sounds like a USA born and raised ignorance/arrogance hybrid alright. I won't even bother to wish him to be from anywhere else, since most of my countrymen are just like him. . . shame really. . . xenophobia is a full blown epidemic in the States.
Would anybody from any other nation on earth complain about "weird accents" in a foreign film? Is that just a USA thing? I'm pretty sure it is. All I can say is "WTF". . .

WTF, indeed.
Speaking of which... I wish I had known to save all my posts that I had posted about this movie since I was unaware at the time that IMDb deletes message boards.

I disagree. I've seen other films with SA accents and a fair bit of foreign films so thats probably why it didnt bother me so much, if at all. I understood the accent pretty clearly lol.
This yank having visited the Republic of South Africa in the early 1970s on holiday, I found the the Chappie film accents are spot on.
