Samuel L. Jackson one of the worst actors ?

seems to me 99% of the movies Samuel L. Jackson plays in, seems to be utter utter utter crap...also, his face on the cover of a DVD is a real big warning for me, which means that movie probably has to really suck....
I would go as far not to call him an actor, since he's more of an onscreen prostitute for the movie industry when they need an afro American actor for another run off the mill sh!tty movie...
only movie I have ever seen him shine in, has to be Pulp Fiction....how the hell they got the idea to use him as a Jedi Knight in the Star Wars saga is totally beyong my grasp....to me: one of the worst actor EVER!!!

I was on the negative stroll obviously when I wrote this a while ago...
must've been p!ssed off again after I've seen him as a jedi knight and spotting that 'Caveman's Valentine' DVD in my collection...

He's in a lot of good movies. The Negotiator, Unbreakable, Die Hard with a Vengeance, 187, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Changing Lanes, Menace 2 Society.. that's just a FEW.

I agree that he takes way too many roles, and that some of them are just *beep* but saying 99% are crap is just wrong. Just counting Tarantino's movies and the Marvel Cinematic Universe he has more than his share of good films already. Throw in films like The Incredibles, Do The Right Thing, Goodfellas, Black Snake Moan & Menace II Society and I'd say he's had a pretty good career. Hell, even mindless fluff like Deep Blue Sea and Snakes on a Plane were decent for what they were.

He really should take a look at his pile of Tarantino/Marvel/Star Wars money and be a bit more particular though.

My husband and I are at complete odds over Samuel L. Jackson. I can't stand him, and if I see his name in the credits, it gets an eye roll. My husband absolutely loves him, although my husband has a knack for finding the worst movies imaginable. I didn't find him too bad in Formula 51 (I think that's what it was called), but the majority of his movies are horrid, and not all, but a good portion is his acting. The scripts are usually BS as well.

I think he can act. He's just overexposed himself when he should have been a bit more choosy and less publicity seeking. I can't believe he needs the money.

The movie would’ve been more interesting had Jackson and Wilson switched roles. As it is, it’s just mundane.
