Please Hoffmans, stop praying!!!

Yeah God isn't going to grant people's prayer for gold, that's a selfish way to pray and will def not be answered. That's like a football team praying to God to win, Gods not going to step in, in favor of a team, now if you prayed that you perform ur best, and have the strength to carry you through the game, then God might answer that prayer. They could pray for insight on where to look for gold, but to hear Gods voice, you must be a Bible reading prayer warrior person. I've only met 4 people in churches that I grew up in, that could actually hear Gods voice, and one was a pastor and the other was a 20 yr old youth leader, who was a very strong Christian.

It strikes me as so-called prosperity gospel / theology. Which is a real thing. Especially in the U.S.

Prosperity theology is also what Jim Bakker used to preach. Remember him? When he was in jail, and finally read the Bible all the way through for the first time, he realized that he was taking passages of the Bible out of context and misrepresenting what it said.

While it's not something I would ever do when they're praying for everyone to be safe etc. I say say to each his own but when they start praying for God to help them find gold I, literally, cringe.

One thing we know for sure, God doesn't want the Hoffmans to find gold.

the hoffman crew is the worst part of the show but for some reason they're still on it, their part of the show feels far more like a hollywood movie than when park or tony's crew is on screen, it sticks out like a sore thumb, they're trying to sell so much drama
