Like it or not, you have to admit they manage to bring something new, like specifically they "jazzed up" in the camera work in season 6 and added a humour in season 7.
For me once Brody died the story was done. I never liked the Carrie Matheson character and was surprised to learn that the series was created as a vehicle for Danes who was always outshone by Lewis.

shareI was impressed that they had the guts to write storylines that were not entirely flattering to the Intelligence agencies, or the US. And the troll farm and the Ultra-Conservative Nationalists trying to take over the country. That took guts and great story writing.
I wonder how many viewers, or fans of the show would say that Homeland was WOKE, and when exactly that began for them?
