Rate/list PTA's movies.

Hmm...I'll leave off the score portion, because I don't really have any serious problems with any of his films -- at least not sufficient to warrant docking more than one point.

But I do have favourites.

1. The Master
2. Magnolia
3. There Will Be Blood
4. Inherent Vice
5. Punch-drunk Love
6. Hard Eight
7. Boogie Nights

Like I say, no slight on Boogie Nights -- it's a terrific film. I guess if I had to single it out as "last place holder" for a reason, it'd be that PTA carries the homage/tribute to iconic directors aspect pretty far there; in his later works, he's clearly developed his own voice, if that voice still carries notes of Altman, Scorsese, etc.

But, like many others around here, Inherent Vice was in last place until I saw it a second time. So much more enjoyable.
